Besides making ornaments I have been making ATCs (artist trading cards). It's not a new thing, its been around a few years but it is new to me. I was surfing the web like I usually do, and I came across this form of art and it spiked my interest to where I did some research and the more I searched the more intrigued I became. Well you guessed it I had to give it a try and here are my attempts.... (by the way I'm addicted)

More Ornaments!

Been busy making more ornaments. The first show is right around the corner! yikes !!

It's back to work!

Well tonight I head on back to work for 7 days or I should say nights. I work 7 on and 7 off, so not too bad. I must say it's been a very informative week. I got my curiosity up about ATCs so I have been looking online to find everything I possible could find and boy did I learn a lot. I think I'm ready to take the ATCs by the horns and give it a shot.
Then on Cool2Craft they had live demos on how to make dream catchers, felting and decoupage.
My son loves Indian decor so I might have to make him one, Cyn made it look so easy. Liza showed us how to do felting. I never knew you could use regular yarn. and last but not least, Heidi, demonstrated on how to make a leaf bowl with brown paper bags and then decoupage it, she used clothesline for the veins in the leaf ..........who knew? Also Candace, the Queen of muse ,ha ha ha, challenged us to make craft that has to do with a crown? Now that's got me thinking lol. Awesome job everybody!
I finally got my pictures of my ornaments posted to my blog and belonging to The Hive my blog transfers over to there ( how cool is that)? Then the exciting part about that, my blog was feature for the day woooooohooooooo!!! Loving it!
So all in all its been fun! The next week I'm off I need to stay off here and get my nose to the grind stone and make more ornaments and start making some ATCs. I already committed myself to a swap so there is no turning back.................oh my what pressure, LOL, So until next time, take care and be safe.

Finally Finished

HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody!! I've been busy trying to get this quilt done and it's done finally! It only took 15 years, yep that's right 15 yrs. It was packed away with a lot of my other WIPs so I decided this is the year it will get done. The pattern is called "The Painted Hearts" I got it out of a magazine. The hearts were to be stenciled on but I appliqued them and zigzag stitched around them. I machine pieced and hand quilted. Now I can move on to my other projects and of course my ornaments. Oh by the way, this quilt has been to WVa., Ohio, Virginia, and back to Ohio, and on my bed where its going to stay. Till next time, LIVE LOVE and LAUGH.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I want to wish all my followers and viewers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I will return to my blogging after the holidays. I will be focusing more on my ornaments than minis, as I am trying to get my business started. but I will continue to work on my dream bathroom because I hate to leave a project unfinished. I'm thinking of opening another blog one just for minis and the other for the ornaments. Haven't really decided yet. Well I need to get off here and do RL things. See ya next year!!!!

Craft Show

Well the craft show is over. I had a great time. My cousin Kathy came and can you imagine it was her first craft show she ever attended in her entire life!!! By the way, it's so nice to have her back into my life again. Missed you cuz. The profit from the show was okay. But considering the economy and how others did, I did okay. There's always next year. I don't give up that easily, besides it was a learning experience in finding what people are looking for and giving me feed back was a great tool. It just makes me a better craft person and I will have better things to sell next year. I'm enjoying it!!!!
Now I can relax and start working on my mini dream bathroom again, poor thing has been neglected for sometime now. Well come back to see how the bathroom is coming along. Until next time live, laugh, and believe..Life is good.

Oh looky here!

I just can't seem to leave those minis alone. I bought this house at Michael's craft store. They were marked down and I couldn't refuse. For $2.37 each I bought All they had, hmmmm around seven of them. I brought them home and set them down in my craft area and They kept yelling at me "make me, make me". So being soft hearted as I am, I gave in and said "okay, just one" So I pushed the ornaments aside and started building. Loved every minute of it. Not sure what I going to do with it yet but I do know it will go to my precious grand daughter, Trinity.
Well this is it for now, heading back to work tonight. I only have to work 5 days then get 8 off . took some vacation days. How sweet it is lol. till next time, Be safe, Have fun, and Believe.

Here is a few more ornaments I was working on. This makes me around 48 different kind and 288 total so far. I have two more weeks off work that I can work on more.

I'm Baaack!

This is the Victorian Swap I signed up for in the Swap_shop group. The hats and the hat box are the items I made to swap. The picture of the group of items are what I received. Pretty neat, don't ya think? I enjoy doing the swaps but I haven't signed up for any lately because of the craft show and the Holidays approaching. After the first of the year I plan on getting back to doing minis a lot more. If God is willing and the creek don't rise lol.
